Brandon Snyder's first Triple-A home run powered Norfolk to a 4-3 win over Durham Saturday night.
After Michael Aubrey led off the sixth inning with a single, Snyder launched a two-run shot high over the left field wall to give the Tides a 4-0 advantage. The 22-year-old now has 60 runs batted in between Double-A Bowie and Norfolk this season, tops among Orioles minor leaguers.
David Pauley (7-6) earned the win for the Tides as he worked around seven hits in six shutout innings. Pauley struck out four and walked one in the contest, throwing 60 of his 90 pitches for strikes.
Josh Perrault recorded the final four outs for the Tides to pick up his first save in a Norfolk uniform.
With the win, Norfolk moved into sole posession of first place in the IL South division, one game ahead of the Bulls.
The Tides will wrap up the first half of their season on Sunday afternoon, with first pitch slated for 1:15. Jake Arrieta (2-2, 3.48) is scheduled to take the mound for Norfolk.
