The Tides are part of the Hampton Roads Community and the loss of these brave men hits especially close to home.
To show support, the Tides will wear camouflage uniforms that night with each team member honoring a fallen servicemember. The player's jersey will bear the name of the fallen servicemember. The jerseys will be presented to the families as a symbol of the Norfolk Tides' respect and appreciation for their sacrifice.
Vice Mayor Anthony Burfoot will represent the city of Norfolk.
The game starts at 7:15 p.m. The pre-game ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Contact the Tides Director of Media Relations, Justin Rosenberg, at 622-2222, ext. 125 for more information.
